As part of its mission to promote and disseminate knowledge, the UYI organizes annual workshops, seminars, symposia, and national and international conferences—providing forums for exchange among academics, researchers, and professionals. For example, every year, dozens of scientific events of all kinds are held at the UYI.
As part of its ongoing mission to promote and disseminate knowledge, the UYI has established various libraries, including the University Library and the Specialized Libraries.
The University Library provides faculty and students in undergraduate and graduate programs with books and theses in all fields of the hard and soft sciences, which may be consulted on site or borrowed in accordance with the library’s policies.
Specialized libraries include those of academic institutions and doctoral schools. As their name suggests, these libraries specialize in the fields specific to each institution and doctoral school. In addition to books and theses, they are stocked with newspapers and periodicals subscribed to by the UYI and donations from cooperative partners.
As part of its ongoing mission to promote and disseminate knowledge, the UYI publishes half a dozen internationally renowned scientific journals through its affiliated institutions. These journals cover all fields of the basic and social sciences, as well as their applications. They are published annually with funding from the institution, in print format and, in recent years, in digital formats as well.
