The doctoral programme of the University of Yaounde I (UYI) is structured
around four
main Research and Doctoral Training Centres (CRFD):
- Arts, Languages and Cultures (CALC)
- Human, Social and Education Sciences (CSHSE)
- Sciences, Technologies and Geosciences (CSTG)
- Life Sciences, Health and the Environment (CSVSE)
Description of the UYI’s four doctoral schools:
- CALC: Brings together research units in languages, literature, arts,
civilizations and cultures
- CSHSE: Covers humanities, social sciences, education and educational
engineering
- CSTG: Includes mathematics, computer science, bioinformatics,
engineering sciences, physics and geosciences
- CSVSE: Covers research in biology, medicine, health and the
environment
The UYI’s CRFDs, appointed in September 2025, are coordinated by
experienced academics under the supervision of the Rector, Prof. Rémy
Magloire
