Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (FMBS)
The entrance examination into the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (FMBS) of the University of Yaoundé I (UY1) is conducted through the National Aptitude Test for Medical Training (NAEMT), generally launched in May or June by the Ministry of Higher Education (MINESUP) for an examination held in September or early October. It is open to holders of a Science Baccalaureate (C, D, GCE A-Level), including papers in biology, chemistry, physics and general knowledge. The programs of study are general medicine, pharmacy and Odontostomatology. Eligibility,is based on the scores obtained, with a eliminatory threshold for any mark below 20/100 in certain subjects.
National Advanced Polytechnic School Yaounde (NAPSY)
The entrance examination into the National Advanced School of Engineering of Yaoundé (ENSPY) in Cameroon is open every year, generally in July, to holders of a Science Baccalaureate (C, D, E, TI) or GCE A/L. It allows admission into the 1st year (engineering/bachelor cycle) or the 3rd year (based on application/competitive examination) for programs such as Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Science and Technology, or Digital Arts and Humanities (open to Arts Baccalaureate holders) Candidates must be no older than 29 years of age as of January 1st of the year.The examination consists of written tests (Mathematics and Physics) and an application file review. It is also open to current-year Baccalaureate holders with distinctions of "Very Good" or "Excellent". The examinations are generally held in July, with an application submission period usually beginning in May or June. Applications can be submitted through the MINESUP website or the school's official website.
University Institute of Wood Technology (IUT-Bois)
The entrance examination into the University Institute of Wood Technology (IUT-Bois) of Mbalmayo, University of Yaoundé I (UY1), for the year 2025 is held in September, targeting recruitment into the 1st year of the University Diploma of Technology (DUT)/Bachelor's degree. The examination is open to holders of Science and Technical Baccalaureates (C, D, E, F4, GCE A/L). It covers tests in mathematics, physics, chemistry and general knowledge.
Higher Teachers Training College (HTTC), Yaounde
The entrance examinations into the Higher Teacher Training College (ENS) of the University of Yaoundé I (UY1), session 2026, are open for the 1st and 2nd cycles. Application files can be submitted until March 4-6, 2026, with written tests scheduled around March 14, 2026 in regional examination centers, aimed at recruiting future teachers. These examinations had been suspended for 3 years.
Faculty of Science (FS)
The Faculty of Science (FS) of the University of Yaoundé I (UY1) mainly organizes selections based on application file review for admission into Master's programs (Research and Professional) and certain Professional Bachelor's degrees. Access to the 1st year of the Bachelor's degree (Licence 1) is generally open to Science Baccalaureate holders, with mandatory online pre-registration through the website

Faculty of Education Sciences (FSE)
Online pre-registration for the Faculty of Education Sciences (FSE) of the University of Yaoundé I (UY1) is done through
www.preinscriptions.uninet.cm from the month of August, followed by the submission of physical application files. Admission, generally reserved for Baccalaureate holders, requires an online procedure and is completed before the start of the academic year.
Faculty of Arts, Letters and Social Sciences (FALSH)
The entrance examinations for the Professional Bachelor's degree (notably Tourism and Hospitality) at the Faculty of Arts, Letters and Social Sciences (FALSH) of the University of Yaoundé I (UY1) are generally organized around July or August. Online pre-registration is done through
preinscriptions.uninet.cm, often between August and September. The examination includes tests in general knowledge, languages (English/French) and an oral interview.
