Le Recteur de l’Université de Yaoundé I informe le public que le concours d’entrée en première année de la formation initiale à l’Institut Universitaire de technologie du Bois (IUT-Bois) de Mbalmayo, initialement prévu mercredi le 07 septembre 2016 par décision du Ministre de l’Enseignement Supérieur, est reporté au samedi 1er octobre 2016.

The IUT-Bois is a higher institution of learning affiliated with the University of
Yaounde I (UYI). The campus in the Ekombitié neighbourhood of Mbalmayo is
springing into life as it expands with the construction of the second building.
This expansion is fully in line with the infrastructure vision championed by
the Rector of UYI, Prof. Rémy Magloire Etoua, to provide IUT-Bois with a
reference university setting in Central Africa. The main courses/departments
include:
- Timber Construction
- Wood and Furniture
- Wood Chemistry
- Paper Science
- Bioenergy
- Environment and Sustainable Development (ESD).
The institution offers practical training (hands-on work) and field projects,
aimed at training skilled professionals in wood processing.
