Message from the Vice-Chancellor

Looking ahead, Professor Remy Magloire Etoua emphasized the need to better connect the university to the job market, strengthen entrepreneurship, accelerate full-scale digitalization, and promote financial autonomy. He stressed that graduate employability must become a key performance indicator.
 
Properties for 2026
 
For the year 2026, several priorities have been announced: strengthening staff capacity, completing ongoing infrastructure projects, effectively implementing the staff health insurance plan, and consolidating the new university campuses.
 
Concluding his remarks on an inspiring note, the Rector invited the university community to make the University of Yaoundé I a true “forum for knowledge, innovation, and creativity,” where every idea and every talent contributes to building Cameroon’s future.
