Faculty of Arts, Letters and Social Sciences (FALSS) of UYI
The Faculty of Arts, Letters and Social Sciences (FALSS) is a public institution within the University of Yaounde I. Formerly known as the Faculty of Letters and Social Sciences, it owes its current name to the 1993 university reform, following President Decrees No. 93/027 and No. 93/036 of 19 January 1993, to lay down, respectively, common provisions for State universities and the administrative and academic organization of the University of Yaounde I.
Administrative set-up
La structure administrative de la Faculté des Sciences de l’
Éducation comprend, outre le Doyen le Pr BELA, qui en assure la direction et la coordination de l’ensemble des Services : une Assemblée de Faculté, un Conseil de Faculté et des Services administratifs.
The Dean is assisted by three vice-deans:
- Un vice-doyen chargé de la Programmation et du Suivi des Activités Académiques Pr Roger Onomo Etaba ;
- Un vice-doyen chargé de la Scolarité, des Statistiques et du Suivi des Etudiants Pr Rosine Paki Matio Epse SALE ;
- Un vice-doyen chargé de la Recherche et de la Coopération Pr Valentin Oubanako Njende.
The Administrative Services include:
- Une Division administrative et financière;
- an Academic Affairs, Student Affairs and Research Division.
Peuvent être admis à s’inscrire à la FALSH en première année d’études les Camerounais et les étrangers qui en font la demande, sans distinction d’âge, de sexe ou de religion.
Les enseignements à la FALSH se donnent sous trois formes :
- Common core lectures;
- Tutorials;
- Practicals.
