The University of Yaoundé I (UYI) is actively strengthening its partnerships with businesses to enhance student employability and foster technological innovation. These partnerships include the creation of specialized laboratories (e.g., Rohde & Schwarz at ENSPY), the integration of professional programs, and incubators for student projects.
The main areas of collaboration:
- Technology and Research Partnerships: Inauguration of state-of-the-art laboratories, particularly in the fields of electrical engineering and electronics, in collaboration with Rohde & Schwarz at the National Polytechnic School of Yaoundé (NAPSY).
- Professional Development and Integration: Collaboration with the private sector to promote youth integration, supported by initiatives such as the Steering Committee of the AUF’s ENTREPRENDRE Program.
- Business Incubators: ENSPY hosts business incubators that receive government support (SME) for student projects.
- Academic and Infrastructure Partnerships: Agreements with companies to develop skills and the national workforce, such as the agreement with CFHEC regarding infrastructure.
- Digitalization: Partnership with companies such as e-Governance Global Innovation Solutions LTD for plagiarism checks on theses.
These initiatives aim to bridge the gap between academic education and the needs of the job market in Cameroon.
