Theme: Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Higher Education and Vocational Training: pedagogical, learning and assessment challenges
The Department of Science of Educational at the Higher Teacher Training College of the University of Yaounde I is launching a call for contributions for the third issue of the International Journal of Educational Sciences (RISE).
This thematic issue aims to examine the pedagogical, didactic and evaluative transformations induced by artificial intelligence in higher education and vocational training.
Objectives of the Issue:
- Collect feedback on the use of AI by lecturers, learners and supervisors;
- Analyse the impact of AI on teaching, learning and assessment;
- Propose innovative and responsible approaches for integrating AI into training and research programmes.
Research Areas (non-exhaustive)
- AI and critical skills: Digital literacy and critical abilities of academic actors
- AI in the assessment of learning outcomes: Tools, methods and limitations
- AI in the supervision of thesis and dissertation: Uses, detection and ethics
- AI in pedagogy and teaching: Innovative tools and feedback
- AI for learning and augmented cognition: Writing support, accessibility and ethical considerations.
Types of Contributions Accepted
- Original research (empirical studies)
- Knowledge synthesis (systematic reviews, meta-analyses)
- Assorted articles (off-topic but related to educational sciences)
- Letters to the editor (short comments on published articles).
Important Dates
- Submission of abstracts: 30 September 2025
- Submission of complete articles: 31 December 2025
- Feedback from reviewers: February 2026
- Final version: March 2026
- Publication: June 2026.

- Format: APA 7thedition
- Bilingual abstract: Maximum 250 words + 3 to 5 keywords
