A bus donated by the Head of State, Paul Biya, to ease student and staff transport, was handed over to the University of Yaounde I during a solemn ceremony at the auditorium of the Rectorate on Friday, 17 October 2025 at 3 p.m. This donation also aims to strengthen the vehicle fleet and provide higher education institutions with modern equipment. The ceremony was attended by the Vice-Rectors, the Secretary-General, the Technical Adviser, Central Services Directors (DAAC, DAAF, DCOU, DIPD) and Heads of Institutions.

 

The Rector's Release No. 25/4100 of 16 October 2025 states that the event was presided over by the Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education, Chancellor of Academic Orders, Professor Jacques Fame Ndongo, in the presence of the Governor of the Centre Region, Nasri Paul Bea.
