The Minister of State sets the course for 2026.<\/div>
La c\u00e9r\u00e9monie des v\u0153ux du Nouvel An du Ministre d\u2019\u00c9tat, Ministre de l\u2019Enseignement Sup\u00e9rieur, S.M. Prof. Jacques FAME NDONGO, s\u2019est tenu ce vendredi 30 janvier 2026, \u00e0 700 Amphith\u00e9\u00e2tre de la FMBS, Universit\u00e9 de Yaound\u00e9 I. Cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement solennel s\u2019est d\u00e9roul\u00e9 en pr\u00e9sence de hautes autorit\u00e9s de la communaut\u00e9 universitaire nationale et internationale au Cameroun. La d\u00e9l\u00e9gation de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Yaound\u00e9 I \u00e9tait conduite par le Pr\u00e9sident du Conseil d\u2019Administration, Prof. Maurice TCHUENTE.<\/div>

One of the highlights of the ceremony was the presentation of the medal of Commander of the National Order of Valour to the Rector of the University of Yaounde I, Prof. Remy Magloire Etoua, in recognition of his commitment and services rendered to the Nation.<\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
\u00a0Other highlights of the ceremony included:<\/div>
  • the presentation of letters of congratulations to civil servants who have been placed on retirement;<\/li>
  • the presentation of lecturers listed as eligible for promotion to a higher grade for the year 2025;<\/li>
  • the signing of an individual health and accident insurance policy for students of State universities by Rectors and Vice-Chancellors, among others.<\/li><\/ul>
    In his speech, the Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education, expressed \"gratitude to the Rector of UYI for the quality of the facilities and equipment that hosted the ceremony.\u201d He also \"thanked the entire university community that turned out for the occasion,\" while recalling the challenges, prospects and recommendations of the Head of State, aimed at making Cameroon\u2019s higher education more innovative, more effective and more professional.<\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
