The University of Yaound\u00e9 I (UYI) is located in the city of Yaound\u00e9, the political capital of Cameroon, in the Ngoa-Ek\u00e9l\u00e9 neighborhood. It is a highly secure neighborhood.<\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
Ngoa-Ek\u00e9l\u00e9<\/strong>\u00a0is a neighborhood in the Yaound\u00e9 III district. It borders the neighborhoods of Olezoa to the south, Mvoly\u00e9 to the west, and Melen to the north. To the east, it is separated from the Administrative Center by the Valley of Death, also known as Nkol Nguet. The neighborhood is built on a ridge that rises to 793 meters; this is the Atemengue Plateau. The population of Ngoa-Ek\u00e9l\u00e9 is predominantly student-based. With students coming from all ten regions of Cameroon, the neighborhood\u2019s population is cosmopolitan. Ngoa-Ek\u00e9l\u00e9 is at once a student, political, and military neighborhood.<\/div>
