On Friday, 6 February 2026, the Amphi 700 lecture hall of the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences was transformed into a temple of recognition. The University of Yaounde I community gathered there for the traditional ceremony to present New Year wishes to their Rector, Professor Remy Magloire Etoua, marking the beginning of a year dedicated to cohesion and ambition.<\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The first highlight was devoted to merit. Labour medals of honour and letters of congratulations were handed to retiring staff as a reminder that the University of Yaounde I is a family that recognizes its architects. Commander<\/strong><\/div>
In a masterful retrospective, the Secretary-General, Professor Sale, n\u00e9e Rosine Paki Matio, gave a vivid description of a fascinating university. Between academic excellence, sporting supremacy at CHAZU and artistic influence at UNIFAC, UYI reaffirms its leadership. She also commended the Rector's aura, elevated to the prestigious rank of Commander of the National Order of Valour, a symbol of his dedication to the State.<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
